Rental Regulations / WI Boating Laws

Applies to motorized watercraft only.
Anyone driving / operating the watercraft MUST:

  • All motorized operators must be 18 and if born AFTER Jan 1, 1989 must have boaters safety certificate.
  • Sign rental agreement at time of rental.

  • Sign off on Wisconsin State Boating Laws Instruction sheet at dock.

  • Be instructed on operation of rental watercraft by Watersports staff.

  • Must meet Age Restrictions Listed Below
  • Watch a 5 min safety video

  • Receive and wear a wristband so you are identified as having gone thru the mandatory safety procedures.

ANY UNAUTHORIZED USE OF RENTAL WATERCRAFT WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF RENTAL TIME AND POSSIBLE CITATION.

Age Restrictions

All motorized operators must be 18 and if born AFTER Jan 1, 1989 must have boaters safety certificate.

Temporary boater safety certification is available upon completion of a short test at all Watersports locations. The test cost is $10 and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Temporary boater safety certificates are valid for 1 year. Must get 75% correct or better to pass test.

Rental / Reservation Policy

72 hour notice required for cancellation, we will refund balance with the exception of a $25 reservation fee.

Renters may be charged a cleaning fee if applicable.

Weather Policy:

If inclement weather persists the day of rental due to  rain or  high winds,  you can cancel that morning and we will refund balance with the exception of a $25 reservation fee will be retained. We will also do our best to reschedule for another day if possible.

Online Reservations cancellation policy:

72 hour notice required for cancellation, we will refund the full amount.
